Rye bread

A very nice rye bread recipe adapted from a German recipe site (with credit given).

Choose from either of

  • the original recipe, with measures given in imperial/US, typical Canadian, and metric, or
  • the simplified recipe designed for convenience when using metric, which also yields a slightly larger loaf.

  1. This past Saturday, I adjusted the recipe slightly and did a first test. It came out quite well, as you can see from the photo on the actual page.
    There is slightly more dough, which suits the size of my bread pan, and it actually rose a little better than it has in the past.
